Ecommerce web site design for Novaspace |
December has been busy at Blueflamingo! Our final web design project of the year, Novaspace, went live today. This is an ecommerce site for which we also shot the product photos and now conduct the internet marketing.
A little bit of background. Novaspace's competitors had all recently re-designed their websites. Novaspace wanted to do the same in order to claw back business in the competitive shelving market. We carefully designed the website to look clean and professional with nice, easy-to-use functionality.
This is an ecommerce website which uses Barclays' EPDQ payment processing system. This was the client's preference as their merchant account was with Barclays, however, we have experience integrating will all the major payment processing providers such as Sagepay, RBS WorldPay, or Paypal. Novaspace manage their orders through an Administration site that we built for them. The interface is extremely clean and straightforward to use (see the bottom screenshot below).
To photograph the website's products, we spent a day over at Novaspace's warehouse. We set up huge white panels as a suitable background to shoot the various shelving units (some of which are 3 meters high!). This was a much cheaper option than transferring all the units to a studio. With a little Photoshop work we feel that the photos have turned out well.
The website went live with a Google Adwords Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign to help attract relevant traffic. We will be carefully tracking the campaign over the coming months to ensure Novaspace's budget is generating sales.
